Last Tuesday there were at least 400 eyeballs staring at me as I presented “Garden on Purpose: Recipes for Busy People”  to members of  The Garden Club of Georgia’s  Azalea District.  The topic fit right in with the GCGA’s mission of beautification, conservation and education.
Until I moved up the food chain of garden clubbing, I was not aware of the importance of this HUGE organization. These women(and guys!) are amazing–impacting legislation, effectively communicating environmental issues, creating breathtaking community gardens, and so much more.  Garden clubs aren’t about cucumber sandwiches and tea…no. no.  New clubs are forming to adapt to work schedules, and interests. Check out The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc.,  National Garden Clubs, Inc. and our local Augusta  Council of Garden Clubs to learn more about “garden clubbing”…
