Hosting Christmas dinner this year? Not me. Thanksgiving is mine; sister in law, Pia, hosts Christmas dinner. Â I love Christmas table settings, though. There is so much freedom–cheery, crisp white or magical fun with red and lime or traditional Christmas red and green! Â Today we’ll look at white. I love color, but white can be crisp and cheery when care is taken to choose flowers and greenery. The pic above reminds me of the song ” Silver and Gold”. Don’t be afraid to use that combo in your place setting.
Notice the variety of whites and greens. The white and green ornamental kale is one of my favorites because it’s fun! This arrangement has clusters of the kale, magnolia, ivory gerbera daisies, creme roses, cypress and wintry sticks. Two small arrangements flank three pillar candles on hefty aged gold candle holders.
One tip about using the bulbs you’ve forced indoors for dinner table decoration. Use any flower/green that does not smell. Some smells are offensive to finicky noses at the dinner table. Narcissus or paperwhites, for example, have a distinct odor.
