Seedlings need bottom warmth
I am always fascinated with tomato lovers! Archie is a new reader of MLCHgarden and a fellow tennis buddy. I had to share his seed starting story for his summer tomato crop. Archie divulged that his seeds are planted in a kitty litter box this year. After one week, no germination.
I am curious whether or not Archie has a source of bottom heat for his seeds. Bottom heat stimulates germination, then you need sunlight once seeds have sprouted.
Here is a peek at last years’ tomato babies and my nifty warming spot!
Seedlings need bright light or grow lights.
Are you growing your own tomatoes this year? What varieties are you growing?
See you.
