Today is Good Friday, the traditional day for putting in the summer garden. I am out of town, and usually, would have my garden in this week. Ordinarily, I would be scheming to find an excuse to go home early to work in garden, but this year I feel that Mother Nature has PMS and will give me ample time and temps to put those toms in the ground.
Tomatoes need temps at night of 70ish to produce fruit and day time temps no hotter than 95 – which stalls the process too. I am looking forward to the mystery of gardening this summer as I think Mother Nature and I may be on the same cycle…unpredictable.
