Mother Hicks is a witch, so they say.

To catch you up on this one act play. We won best one act, best director, best actress and several other mind blowing accolades at the Georgia Theatre Conference last fall. The win landed us (DFA Drama, really) an invite to the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Mobile Alabama which begins tomorrow!

We board the charter bus ($$$$$) to Mobile at 10am tomorrow morning and after a L-O-N-G drive, pull up to the Convention Center, register and attend keynotes til we drop~!

Thursday is our big day with an EARLY start and after watching 3 other Southeastern states perform, we ROCK IT with ‘Mother Hicks’. Did I tell you who is playing the part of Mother Hicks?

Yep, that is her-Marianna. She won best actress for the one act at Georgia Theatre Conference.

Tough competition, so we are in for some wonderful theatre! Two full days of high school theatre.
