Pollinate! Busy as a Bee.
A friend posted this infographic on Facebook.
I took this little ditty to heart because people are always calling me the “B” word.
Busy.
Then I thought about my bees. Those girls–the worker bees– really are busy. They clean house all day, shop the neighborhood for food, tend to the queen, guard the hive, produce honey. WHEW! No wonder “busy as a bee”!
The queen, however, is just that. Her highness just has sex and lays eggs. That is it. And when she’s unhappy, she just leaves.
I am most definitely a worker bee.
And here is my take on “busy”.
Who is “glorifying busy” anyway? What is that? If you are not busy, what are you? I did not “get” the meaning behind the graphic.
God gave us all at least one gift. You may not have figured it out, but I sure have. Just like the queen, I did my thing, laid my eggs, and have raised two wondrous worker bees. Yet now I live a purposeful, intentional life, making honey–sharing my gifts of gardening, flowers and the gift of life. OH, and of course, the laundry, the housekeeping, the meals, etc…
There is no drama, no gossip(well, very little!), no time for the Devil’s work when one stays occupied with her gifts.
Remember, “An idle mind is the Devil’s workshop”.
And so I find, sweet bee friends, that this is much better.
Use your little wings, give glory by sharing your pollen.
