Ok. This week has turned out so interesting since Anthony Bourdain of Travel Channel’s “No Reservations” publicly insulted Southern Cooking Diva, Paula Deen. Bourdain commented that Deen is the “most dangerous person in America” because of her use of “unhealthy” cooking ingredients. I have to admit, I use to abhor Paula Deen because of her exaggerated “Southern drawl” and obsessive use of butter until I read a bit about her painful past. She became tolerable only because I learned that she was once agoraphobic, and literally went from rags to riches completely on her own.
On the flip side, Anthony Bourdain’s  show on the Travel Channel is one of the few television shows that I actually enjoy. He’s sarcastic and obnoxious, shooting from the hip with honesty. I love it. In light of our obesity epidemic, I see where Bourdain is coming from, but I don’t consider Deen the most dangerous individual in America either.
Do you think Paula is dangerous?
see you

I have actually felt sick watching some of her cooking but, no – I don’t consider her dangerous. And if she overcame agoraphobia, kudos to her!

You seem to feed your ego instead of your stomach! She cooks like my mother did and I learned from her! Real food for Real people. That is something you are not Mr. Bourdain. Get off your pedistal and get real. Your nose is stuck up way to high. The reason for the over weight people is stop eating so much. Portion control!!! I admit I have a problem not going for seconds. I was born and raised in Augusta, Ga. People talk different all over this country. I am tired of people judging me by the way I talk. I am proud of my roots. Thanks Y’all .
