The Five O’Clock Shuffle
Five o’clock in the afternoon is a magical hour.
Ward will be coming  home soon ready to rest and eat!
The beds  are made and the house picked up.
Disheveled and glistening, yet prepared with canapes.
Wards’ Faves…
Crackers: Wheat Thins reduced fat, Triscuits, Roasted Garlic Melba Toast(my favorite)
Cheese: Reduced Fat Colby Cubes, Gouda, really good Swiss, Laughing Cow, Blue from Publix(strong & delish)
Fruit: Whatever is in the drawer– grapes, sliced apples(especially w/ Publix Blue)
Veggies: broccoli, squash, carrots, celery
Pickle Plate: whatever cool stuff you can find in a jar- HOT okra, Wickles Hot Sweet pickles, Pitted Kalamata olives…
NUTS! : Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, baked pumpkin seeds.
If you are dieting(or attempting to get Ward to lose a few lb’s), stick with fresh veggies, nuts, fruit and a couple of
Laughing Cow Cheese triangles with Melba Toast.
