Another eventful “holiday” with Mimi at our house. My mother loves candy–anything sweet.  So last night with my fancy witch hat and blackened front teeth, I caught her creeping around the front door and digging into the humongous candy bowl.  She enjoyed watching Sam take over the big den floor creating his version of the Slenderman costume. He worked for about 2 hours before dusk with fabric scraps, a hot glue gun, a charity store blazer, and a mask.  We bickered at each other about how he made the whole costume design much more complicated than it needed to be! Turned out, he did a pretty fab job and no one recognized him last night!  The crowd on Glenn Avenue was huge, but the candy take slim. Next year, if he can get away with it, he decided to treat in our neighborhood, then trick with the party goers on the Hill.
Marianna and Emma settled in for failed seances and yes, they watched ‘The Exorcist’ . I know, but it’s Halloween! I went to bed just after 10. My bio-clock is going off at 4:30am, so I go to be rather early.
We have no candy left, thank goodness, except for Sam’s pitiful lot. I’ll have to hide it in his room so The Candy Bandit won’t gobble it up!
Hope you had a fun night.
See you.

Mimi has always been notorious for her sweet tooth and I am afraid it’s a Smith family trait! 😉
Guess who just had an ice cream cone for lunch to celebrate the start of her Birthday month?!?
