A glimpse of  a Southern winter garden snow day.
We had a light dusting of snow while those above us up North experienced the sky falling with snow.
Yes, this is one of our pumpkins from October!
I leave all pumpkins in the garden to decompose then anticipate lots of surprises appear in August.Â
The Lenten rose makes a delightful cut flower- alone or with roses, hydrangeas – this is a beauty.Â
There are many varieties of Lenten rose and now is time to plant if you can find transplants to purchase or a friend to
share her babies with you!
Another stunner in the winter garden-Camellia japonica

Even the grown up garden needs a little whimsy.
Contorted, cock-eyed Harry Lauder’s walking stick adds a little giggle to the stately Camellias pictured above.
The walking stick makes a statement when snuggled up amongst a bunch of  girly hydrangeas in floral designs.
We have the strangest weather here in Augusta. One day snow, next day upper 70’s.
Thought I would capture the loveliness of  a Southern winter snow day in the garden before it is gone.

Beautiful garden photos! Our snow dusting just makes our yards and flowers fairy-like! How lucky are we!

Hi Debbie
Yes, the dusting is sort of like powdered sugar on our French toast! It was very beautiful this go round. Happy for no ice so far this year. But as we all know, it is not too late. Hope you are well and getting ready for a sunny spring!
