The next few months are extremely “b” word for us. Performances, video creation, weddings and workshops. So, planning ahead for our evening meals is huge!
This week’s main meal ideas came from delish.com except for the taquitos- that one from recipegirl.com.
Monday- roasted chix taquitos, spanish rice, salad, guac
Tuesday- pork chops and pears,green beans, cauliflower, fruit mixed
Wednesday- beer braised pot roast, boiled and cheesy new potatoes, carrots
Thursday- vegetable soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, brownies
Friday- greek bison burgers, spinach, sweet potato fries
I like to plan Monday through Friday, but usually we eat out or order out just once a week. The kids order out once on weekends or out with friends.
Now, if you are in lose weight or eat clean mode, cook  several chix breasts, shrimp, and fish. Cook a large bunch of broccoli, a pot of green beans and a couple of sweet potatoes. Package a bit of the lean meat (4 to 6oz) and a veggie (one cup each meal) and a half sweet potato in your disposable containers for the number of meals you want. This means you will not have to worry about cheating or eating something fast that you really didn’t want to eat.
