There is something about the holidays when you receive a gift from a mysterious benefactor—Santa Claus, Easter Bunny and The Valentine Fairy. Yes, the Valentine Fairy! Many moons ago, someone would ring the doorbell, leave a huge heart filled with smushable chocolates, then run! I would open the door, peek around the corner wondering who left these treats at the front door. That feeling of excitement and wonder is still alive today even as we’ve gotten a bit older. Always a treat to receive something special, something just for you.
So this year, I am thinking…if I didn’t know flowers as well as I do, what sort of bouquet would I want for VDay? Â Something feminine and girly. There’s a kicky little movement out there for NO RED ROSES, and while I am not opposed to them, they would not be my first choice for this day of love. I’d want something that someone put a bit of thought in to, perhaps artistic?

Oh, when my kids were growing up, the Valentine Fairy would deliver a bag of goodies to the front, they would tell their friends…and well, the beginning of a new tradition(and some eyeball rolling parents)!
