Well, instead of telling you how perfect the garden is right now, I thought I would share some of the oddities that are surviving the triple digit temps and semi-neglect from the so-called garden whisperer. Hot peppers are turning red and beginning to curl up, the mystery gourds are thriving- their vines rambling all over my camellias, and even Charlotte is weaving her sticky web in the overgrown rosemary bush.  So, there is hope.
I am indeed ready for fall planting.  Watch for the next post on what to plant right now for our last harvest before winter. Oh, the Giraffe, that’s my lovely lanky Marianna, editor extraordinaire and freakishly frightened of spiders.
